POSITION
Summary:
The Manufacturing Engineering Technician is responsible to provide technical support to manufacturing, obtain and provide data for engineering team, support development of processes and new manufacturing concepts, and participate in assigned projects.
DESCRIPTION OF ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Provides technical assistance to the manufacturing floor, to ensure timely delivery of product while meeting customer expectations on cost and quality.
Conducts assigned experiments, process trials, and prototyping efforts.
Documents results in a systematic and thorough manner.
Participates in process improvement and development of new manufacturing methods to expand capabilities and meet customer expectations on cost, quality, and delivery.
Supports the design and build of efficient manufacturing tools, fixtures, process aids and equipment.
Executes validation and qualification (IQ/OQ/PQ) protocols for new equipment, processes, and products.
Completes assignments in an efficient manner.
Keeps immediate supervisor and designated individuals accurately informed concerning work progress.
Creates/supports manufacturing process documentation, to include drawings, manufacturing procedures, operator work instructions, and troubleshooting guides.
Ability to use engineering test equipment, follow methods and develop familiarity with standards.
ADDITIONALLY ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

Demonstrate flexibility and cooperative behavior with colleagues and supervisors at all times.

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or ability required/preferred).
Successful completion of four-years of high school, or equivalent, plus some additional specialized training.
Over three years and up to five years of experience in manufacturing or laboratory environment, or any combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge, skills and abilities.
Demonstrated ability to understand technical drawings.
Fluent in Microsoft Office.
Experience with Good Manufacturing Practices and Lean Manufacturing (preferred).
OTHER GUIDELINES:
Excellent (written and verbal) communication and effective human interaction skills.
Flexible to change, and possess a high degree level of integrity and can do attitude.
Willing to work in a team environment and contribute to group goals.
Ability to receive and provide instructions in a positive manner.
Able to comprehend basic algebra, unit conversion and consumer math.
